A Warm Reception for the Group of Golden Dawn MPs Visiting Kalymnos

On August 25th a team from the Popular Association – Golden Dawn led by Ilias Panagiotaros, Nikos Michos and Ilias Kasidiaris visited Kalymnos, following their visit to Kos, in order be informed firsthand on the critical problem the island is facing due to illegal immigration.
The three MPs which were accompanied by Regional Advisor for the South Aegean, Savvas Spyridis, arrived in Kalymnos and were greeted warmly by the island inhabitants on the pier.
Without making any statements, they walked to the Kalymnos Port Authority where they met with the Assistant Harbor Master of Kalymnos, who informed them of the major problem of illegal immigration the island is facing.
The team then visited the Kalymnos Police Department, where they met with the Deputy Governor who informed them of the issues the department is facing with the identification process of the hundreds of illegal immigrants which arrive daily to the island.
It should be noted that after exiting the Port Authority the three MPs, stopped in front of the Monument to the Fallen of Imia, and made statements to the local media.
