Christos Pappas Interview with “Patras Opinion” Newspaper: “Golden Dawn is the Resistance of the People!”

Patras Opinion: Lately we have seen an attempt at a political and social “refining” of your message, and you have eliminated extreme behaviors for which you have been accused of in the past. Is this a conscious attitude change?

 

Christos Pappas: We always remain noble. Our political opponents behave openly hostile towards the Golden Dawn. Characterization from system parties is what calls us “extreme”. They call “extreme behavior” defending the laws of the Greek People and always doing what is good for the Fatherland. But certainly, our four-year parliamentary experience helps a lot in our current political and parliamentary position.

 

Patras Opinion: In Polls Golden Dawn takes the third position, while maintaining a relatively low rate. What is your comment on that?

 

Christos Pappas: We are pleased that all polling companies can not hide the consolidation of the Golden Dawn in the third position. If you look around lately, at written comments of journalists, politicians and opinion polls that came out in public, the Golden Dawn polls show upward trends and a potential claim to the second position.

 

 The campaign of the Golden Dawn is a national struggle. We are the national resistance of the Greek People. Therefore, our struggle is not just about the amount and rates, but also the quality. We have awakened Greeks regardless of party. It is the hope of the future.

 

Patras Opinion: Several former members  left the party with allegations of corruption in the party character, after entering the House. What is your answer?

 

Christos Pappas: Anyone who thinks that the anonymity of the Internet, or the pursuit and fulfillment of personal ambitions helps the advancement of Greece, the road is open to prove it. Golden Dawn is made up of volunteers, officials, MPs, voters, and we proved that we wont back down despite the mud and the terrorism of the system. The system is a swamp. They were unable to stop us, with neither bullets nor prisons. Our campaign is a national one, a Fight for national independence and social justice. A campaign for justice where we will take not even one step back.

 

Patras Opinion: Is it true that all major topics and decisions the leader of the party receives? The Golden Dawn is personal?

 

Christos Pappas: Unfortunately, not everyone could see the two-day proceedings of the 8th Conference of us last February, where the bodies were elected by the Central Committee, the Central Committee Secretary, Political Council, a new body was established, the National Council, which indeed met for a second time this year, last Sunday, and then debate and vote. They decide to further policy action and a course of movement. Of course, all parties have a Chief.

 

Patras Opinion: Greece is hoping to get out of the deadlock of the crisis and the whirlwind of confusion. How do you propose we achieve this?

 

Christos Pappas: We hope to implement a new, pro-Hellenic policy, where decisions are not taken by the usurers in Brussels but by the national government of the country. We need coordinated and institutional policy, which means termination of the Memorandum, an international audit of the debt, a claim of the German occupation loan, the value of which matches the modern debt of the country, a review of monetary policy, ie coordinate return to the national currency with a modern rivival of national production, namely Greek industry – crafts, Greek national primary production (agriculture, livestock, fisheries), so the Greek people can be self-sufficient in raw materials and thus there is no dependence from abroad.

 

There should be a geopolitical turn of Greece to new alliances beneficial not just for today, but also for generations to come. For example the Orthodox Nation of the Russian Federation. All these details, you can see in our program, publications on our website, but also in two weekly newspapers of the Movement, the “Golden Dawn” and “Forward”, which publishes the decisions of the Central Committee, the National Council etc.

 

Patras Opinion: Will the early elections save a lot or create a lot of additional problems?

 

Christos Pappas: The highlight of the Republic calls for elections. So how can elections be seen from the so-called “democrats” as a problem or hassle? We get categorized as “undemocratic”, and of course we want elections.  I wish they are held frequently to be renewed and updated reflecting the desire and will of the Greek People. We are planning and are in favor of referendums on major national and economic issues.

 

How “democrats”, of course, are the representatives of the two-party scam system ND – PASOK and SYRIZA appeared since the last referendum in July 2015, where the democratic decision of the Greek People was thrown in the garbage. All this we will change radically. Know that our race will be vindicated, and we will take our homeland back.
