G. Epitideios: Cooperation between the European Union and Russia is necessary to help Syria (VIDEO)

Intervention in the plenary of the European Parliament in Strasbourg by Popular Association – Golden Dawn MEP, General Georgios Epitideios, regarding the misguided policy applied by the European Union in the case of Syria, but also for urgent cooperation with Russia so there can finally be stability in the Arab country.

“Madam President, the misguided policy applied by the European Union in the case of Syria is largely responsible for the situation prevailing in that country, the last five years. The continuous obsession, all these years, to overthrow President Assad, while this, from the onset, was evident couldn’t happen, has brought the European Union into a rear position of the developments. Instead of being a protagonist, she has become an extra and conceded her place to other countries that effectively have filled the void left by the European Union.

By doing this, the only thing we won was to suffer the consequences of an ongoing war, namely hundreds of thousands of dead, the empowerment of ISIS forces, the inflow of millions of refugees to Turkey, and from there, hundreds of thousands to Greece and Europe, and finally, the decisive and dynamic intervention of Russia in the matter.

Now, the only thing left to do, to solve Syria’s problem, is to work with Russia.”
