G. Epitideios: Islamic Terrorists Are Targeting Christians
At the European Parliament plenary in Strasbourg, Popular Association – Golden Dawn MEP, Georgios Epitideios, commented on the terrorist attack in Kenya. The General called attention to the fact that of the 50 countries where Christians are persecuted, 40 of them are Muslim states, in other words 80 percent of Christians are persecuted by Muslims purely for religious reasons.
His speech follows: “Mr. President, the tragic and reprehensible incident of the 147 murdered students at Garissa University in Kenya brought to the light a reality in which unfortunately we have so far not given proper attention. The murders of Christians around the world by extremist Islamic organizations.
In a report by the organization Open Doors, it is mentioned that of the 50 countries where Christians are persecuted today, 40 of them are Muslim states. In other words, 80 percent of Christians are persecuted by Muslims of every political affiliation. For this reason there should be no surprise to the fact that Christians are being targeted by extremist Islamic terrorists.
Unfortunately, this situation has been fostered and maintained by the indifference of the countries of the West, and particularly by the European Union. We are more concerned more about the violation of the terrorists’ rights than protecting the lives of their victims. No one other than God has the rights to decide when we will die, where we will die, and how long we will live.
For this reason we must act, get organized and confront this unacceptable situation, otherwise we will mourn more victims. Our patience and tolerance have limits that have now been exhausted.”
