G. Epitideios: The Greek Armed Forces Can Safeguard Our Country’s Borders (VIDEO)
Intervention in the European Parliament by Golden Dawn MEP, G. Epitideios, where he made clear that the Greek Armed Forces are capable of safeguarding the borders of our Fatherland, and no “assistance” is needed.
A transcript of the speech follows:
“Mr. President, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to claim that immigration is one of the serious problems which the European Union so far hasn’t addressed with due seriousness. But it’s never too late for us to make the right decisions, but chiefly to take the right steps in tackling the problem. The external borders of Europe should be protected with care and responsibility by the States that they are in.
As it regards Greece, I would like to assure you that the Armed Forces of the country can safeguard her borders, if they are assigned with the mission. There’s no need for joint patrols with Turkish naval forces.
The only cooperation between Greece and Turkey could be Turkey's obligation to not send thousands of illegal immigrants to Greece in order to create a problem for her. In addition, the registration and identification centers for immigrants should not be situated in countries of entry, but rather in those countries they use to advance into Europe.
Finally, there must be a fair distribution of refugees to all countries. It’s inconceivable that Greece, with eleven million inhabitants, can have more than three million illegal immigrants.”
