George Germenis and Panagiotis Iliopoulos, “We shall continue our political Struggle. They haven’t gotten rid of us”

Last Saturday George Germenis and Panagiotis Iliopoulos were released from prison and gave an interview to the newspaper “GOLDEN DAWN.” They spoke about the illegal pre-trial detention of both men as well as the rapid political developments which portend a dark future for our motherland.
You suffered 18 months of pre-trial detention because the political struggle of Golden Dawn had a positive impact on the Greek people.  So what are your plans now?

G.G  That’s only half the truth; the other half is the statement of the former minister of Justice Mr. Roupakiotis who said that certain Jewish organizations pressured Antonis Samaras to take action against Golden Dawn. As you recall right after that we saw Samaras get rid of him for saying that and in his place was put a man after their own heart, Mr. Babis Athanasiou, whom along with some perjuring judges moved the whole process for the purpose of our arrest. In this fight there are no personal aspirations, just the plans of this nationalistic movement and that's the way it should be in my personal opinion. The struggle for our vindication and the will to avoid the mentality of the 0.02% and to act like the third political power in Greece that we are. If we had the ability to break the embargo of the TV channels against us in order for the Greek people to hear us, every single Greek would then realize that the struggle of Golden Dawn for Greece would be one way for his interests to be heard. Also, for a political party that has a strict ideological orientation there cannot arise within its ranks new phenomena of the same old kind of party political.

P.I  Indeed we have been imprisoned quite illegally and particularly unfairly, but as time proved, the impact of Golden Dawn on Greek society not only has not decreased but is actually increasing rapidly. Since my release from prison, I have been planning a series of actions in order to help, with all my will, the political action of our movement. 

 -The audio tape with Samara's order for the detention of the Golden Dawn MP's was referring to you. What type of legal actions are you going to take once the truth gets out about all this?

G.G  This guy is already history and was nothing more than a small parenthesis in the political history of this country and I am absolutely sure that future generations won’t even remember him.  Future historians will remember Golden Dawn as a bunch of brave people who went behind bars, not because of any crime or their personal interest, but because they made no divergence or retreat on behalf of the best interests of their country.

P.I  The whole conspiracy has been fully revealed now, and every Greek knows in detail how we arrived at this point of total persecution of the country's third political party. I'm pretty sure the initiators and executors of this wretched conspiracy will soon find themselves before an an independent judiciary to answer for their crimes. For my part I will do whatever it takes to see that these politicians and illegal judges will find themselves on the hot seat real soon.

 -There are rapid developments in the judicial realm with the elimination οf the civil action suit and the release from prison of fellow ally, Ilias Kasidiaris. Where do you think the situation is going at this point?

G.G  This is what logically took place from any way you look at it; the court simply took on account all the facts and nothing more. The false accusations of the Greek media and tabloids – who like to acts as judge themselves–will not stand.  The facts speak for themselves.  There is an illegally staged political prosecution going on here and it will be seen in court soon. Already the architects of this game, Samaras and Venizelos, are now history and now the perjurer judges which initiated this procedure are without their backing. Mr Kasidiaris did not enter prison for any criminal organization, and for this accusation they took 50,000 euros from him to let him free on bail.  He was imprisoned for a legally owned shotgun that belonged to his father. Is it possible for the judicial body to hold someone on such flimsy categories? In such a ridiculous manner were all the accusations set up and if we have a TV coverage all of Greece would laugh at all of this.

P.I  This whole story was inflated and at the end we will be justified and come out as the winners.

 -The political developments are also rapid with massive, illegal immigration which threatnes the public safety and also the economic situation which is dramatically declining.  What do you  say about this?

P.I  The responsibility for the situation that the Greeks are facing, has to do with all the previous governments since 1974 up until today. All those politicians that past 40 years were professional fraudsters and they trampled on the vows they gave that they will work for the best interests of the Greeks, but all they did was operate exclusively for their own vain interests. The only way out is a nationalistic type of government which will restore the independence of our country and that will lead it's economy to real production and decoupling it from grip of the international moneylenders.

 -After the murders of the Golden Dawn supporters, the persecution, the political terrorism and the tons of mud-slinging and lies from the media, Golden Dawn didn't bend. How this is possible?

G.G  Some things I are only explained by divine providence and the faith of some excellent allies, who during these very crucial moments for the movement never backed down and guarded Thermopylae faithfully. These are the persons who you see at our events, who take out movement to the streets, those who are present in our offices without any personal interest with only a love and a hope for our nation. They stood lifting our banners for a struggle which we conducted through prison bars with hundreds of telephone cards––and we won!

P.I  One is the answer to the quandary of this corrupt system: fortunately we are not like you! 
Every other political party would have dissolved on the morning of the 28th of September of 2013, where we had the arrests of our leader and of so many other members. But the Golden Dawn members have become like steel, manning up through difficult situations and have gained strength and power which are unimaginable for the those momma’s boys that belongs to the rest of the political parties.

You won’t get rid of Golden Dawn so easy. We didn't come just to stay. We came to take the destiny of our country back during these difficult moments––and nothing less!
