Letter of N. G. Michaloliakos to the prime minister regarding the exclusion of Golden Dawn from the meetings about the Cyprus issue

The Secretary General of People’s Association-Golden Dawn sent a letter to the prime minister concerning his anti-constitutional exclusion from the meetings of the Political Leaders about the major National affair of the Cyprus issue.

The letter of N.G. Michaloliakos follows:

Athens, the 3rd of January 2017

To the Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Alexis Tsipras

Notification: President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos

Mr. President,

The Press Office of the Prime Minister released yesterday an announcement regarding the consecutive meetings you are about to make at Monday January 9 of 2017 with the Political Leaders in order to inform them about the developments on the Cyprus issue, in view of the multilateral Conference, which will take place at Geneva, on January 12.

As I was informed, you have excluded from the meetings of the Political Leaders concerning this major National issue me, the head of People’s Association-Golden Dawn, of the third parliamentary political party of this country, according to the will of the Greek People, a fact that has been reiterated at past.

Considering the constant Turkish provocativeness and their unhistorical demands towards our Homeland, along with the expressed volition of the Cyprian People against the promoted solution of the “Bi-zonal Bi-communal Federation”, I am obliged to present you our opinions and our recommendations about the Cyprus issue.

I believe that is your obligation and a Constitutional order as well (Article 4: “Greeks are equal towards the law”, “Greek men and Greek women have equal rights and obligations”) to not exclude me from the meetings about the National affair of the Cyprus issue, given the fact that I represent the volition of hundred thousands of Greeks.

With honour

Nikolaos G. Michaloliakos

Secretary General of People’s Association – Golden Dawn
