N. G. Michaloliakos: SYRIZA in dead end - A difficult situation for New Democracy

“In the sand are built the great aspirations of people and like the child, time pulls them down by foot” K. Karyotakis

In the political analysis, which was published in the beginning of January of 2016, I wrote the following:

“…SYRIZA will inevitably confront decay, since his economical failure is granted, unfortunately for the country. It is also comical the fact that those vote for him at September, were at 35, 5 % communists! As for New Democracy, the situation is even worse. This party, because of the memoranda, has de facto no choice for a different policy. Yet, all those who talk about the …harsh opposition, like Mitsotakis did during the elections within his political group, should answer to the question why at August 14 of 2015 they voted for the memorandum of SYRIZA? Why recently Mitsotakis voted for the “contract of partnership”? Is this his idea for harsh opposition?...”

A year has passed since the “harsh opposition” that N.D. was supposed to do. We all know that no such thing ever happened during the past year. On the contrary, N.D. voted for many legislations associated with memoranda and she was even more adherent to memoranda than SYRIZA in the measures of SYRIZA, which were of course voted by N.D.

Nothing but plans on the paper, while the lyrics of Karyotakis remain current. The plans of SYRIZA as well as of N.D. proved to be castles in the sand.

Of course SYRIZA, as I had anticipated, confronted the decay and his economical failure is given. Additionally, he proceeded in antinational measures, not only in the Education, but also in the general policy, with the result of the reduction of his rates and the hope that with the “gift” of 300 euros he will take with him again the people! His upcoming failure in the next elections is granted and the only thing that concerns them is the control of this failure.

Whether proceeding soon to elections, in order to manage to hold a two-digit number-by separating the political life and by giving promises and money-or remaining in power and hoping to a miracle but confronting the aspect of a further degeneration, to the point that SYRIZA is no more a political party of power.

On the other side, N.D. hopes for self-reliance or in the worst case for a political cohabitation with PASOK, with a faint parliamentary majority. In any way of governance, though, considering the memorandum that she will vote and the further measures, she will confront a great political decay in any case.

According to the public statements of political analysts and pollsters the only political power, which will be beneficed in the upcoming elections is GOLDEN DAWN! And she will gain even more in the next elections, following the failure of the upcoming government, whoever that is!
