N. G. Michaloliakos: The suspension of the article “on ministerial responsibility” is a moral obligation - VIDEO

A meaningless communication show was performed by the Prime Minister concerning the upcoming constitutional review - as he does with all the major issues.

In the first meeting of the committee, Alexis Tsipras spoke of civil society, participatory democracy, popular participation and other such vague topics, avoiding once again to talk about the substance.

The bottom line is none other than the elimination of the shameful article “on ministerial responsibility”. A shameful article introduced by Venizelos that washes out all the scandals committed by politicians.

The General Secretary of the Popular Association - Golden Dawn proposed a long time ago to the “constitutional arch” to unitedly suspend this shameful article. The cleptocracy regime, however, remains deaf!

Here is an excerpt from a speech by N. G. Michaloliakos in Parliament (02.01.2017), where he once again repeated the Golden Dawn’s proposal for the suspension of the Article “on ministerial responsibility”:

“However, we have this notorious law, which is not really a law but an Article of the Constitution, Article 86, on ministerial responsibility, which absolves Ministers and Prime Ministers of their political responsibilities. I have proposed this before and I will repeat it: we are allowed to suspend the constitution when we are under siege.

Yes, the current situation is similar to a state of siege. It’s a state of moral siege. Wherever you go, in every corner of Greece, in every cafe, people say that the politicians and the political parties are thieves. Let's take an initiative, all three hundred of us, and vote on the suspension of the law on ministerial responsibility.

It may not be constitutionally elegant, but it is morally just and will be applauded and welcomed by all the Greek people”.
