The full speech of the Golden Dawn's M.P. Eleni Zaroulia at party's Youth Festival:
"Comrades,
I welcome the proud Greek Nationalist Youth,
Today, after many years of persecutions and witch-hunts, after a systematic demonization of Golden Dawn and attempts by the corrupt system for her disappearance from the political scene, we’ve brought back our Youth Festival!
In my last speech, I mentioned the kids in black shirts, the most dynamic part of the Movement, the young men and young women of Golden Dawn and this speech of mine has now become part of a criminal case file. For that speech I gave and for another speech in Parliament I found myself detained in my home by the regime for thirteen entire months! I’m curious to see if today’s speech will be added to some indictment…
The system may have forbade our gatherings and rendered our legal political action illegal, with fictional case files and photographic laws, they may have detained our Comrades and our Leader with the sole criteria for guilt our ideology, but what it never succeed in doing is imprisoning our heart and our faith.
We’re fighting a battle against everyone and in this national invitation for struggle against foreign dominance and the Junta of the Memorandum, the young men and young women of Golden Dawn played a leading role. These kids, pure in soul, vigorous in spirit, who were taunted much by the well-paid ‘omniscient’ television studios, are truly very different for the well-off of the system to understand. When for them their personal goals are money and transient glory, then what else remains but to envy the truly free man who has the courage to stand up and claim a better future for his generation and his Fatherland, fighting alone against everyone?
Comrades, realize this, it’s not just hatred which incites them against us. Above all else it’s jealousy and envy which they feed across from your accomplishments and the attitude in life which you have chosen! A life full of struggles, hardships, trials, but above all a proud life, with meaning and value. This is the superiority of Golden Dawn, the moral of her kids, and in these kids, Greece pins her hopes for national rebirth, which won’t take long to arrive.
But I want to also focus on something else: Despite the honor and the joy I feel while addressing you from this podium, and despite the fact that at long last next to us, free, are all our Comrades and our Leader, I wish to express my deep sorrow for the two absentees of today's event. Two youths who were murdered by the parastate, which deprived us of them, just because they were Golden-Dawners! I will call them by their first names, dedicating today’s Youth Festival in their memory: Giorgos and Manos: IMMORTALS!"
