“The City has fallen”: The Greek nationalists honored the Memory of the last defenders of Constantinople

In a devout ambiance and a vigorous spirit, thousands of Greek Nationalists participated in the open assemblage, organized by the National Memory Commission, in honor of Konstantinos Paleologos and the last defenders of Constantinople.
Thousands of Greek Nationalists assembled in the crowded Mitropolis square, in front of the statue of the Marble King, in order to pay tribute and take a vow to continue to fight for the liberation of our Homeland.
The ceremony commenced with the speech of Ioannis Aivatidis, elected in Corfu, who presented the historical context of the battle and the final dramatic moments before the Fall of the City. 
Next, Major General (Retired) Vasileios Papathanasiou noted the eternal role of the Armed Forces, towards the protection of the Greek Nation.
 
The Comrade Ilias Kasidiaris read the message of the Serbian Nationalist leader, Vojislav Šešelj, who supports the close cooperation of the fellow-believers, Greece, Russia and Serbia.
 
Giannis Lagos, MP elected in Piraeus, electrified the gathered comrades, declaring that the last defenders of the City set an example with their sacrifice for the Fight against the modern enslavement. “Next year at Constantinople!”
 
The Chairman of ELAM (Nationalist Movement in Cyprus), Christos Christou, inspired for the Fight for the final vindication in Greece and Cyprus.
 
 
The Secretary General of Golden Dawn, Nikolaos G. Michaloliakos made the final speech in loud applause.
 
The Leader of Golden Dawn focused on the fact that during the hardships, Greek resist and the Comrades of Golden Dawn always take part in the National Battles.
In an era, where the oblivion and the silence prevail, where the educational system is controlled from those who loathe this Nation, the proud and unsubdued Greek Nationalists do not forget!

The ceremony ended with everyone chanting the ecclesiastical hymn “To Thee, the Champion Leader”, the National Anthem and the Hymn of Golden Dawn. 
 
Thousands of Greek Nationalists marched towards the Monument of Unknown Soldier.
